Our Past & Present

Combining decades of experience, Hospitality Asset Management Company (HAMCO) was formed in 1998 by Mark Morath, Edward Friedman and Bruce Heim. HAMCO linked hotel owners and operational successes, to create a cohesive management source for established hotels, and an opportunity for the development of new hospitality projects.

A Dedicated Team

Hospitality Asset Management Company has surrounded itself with over 250 dedicated employees throughout its operations. The nucleus of the HAMCO staff is based in State College.

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Mark R. Morath, CHA


Over forty years of hospitality experience including multi-franchise and non-franchise hotel management, new construction development and coordination/management, consultation and ongoing multi-unit operations; developer, and investor in hotels, as well as other area businesses.

Chief Operating Officer

Edward Tubbs, CHA


An operational expert having begun his career as a Holiday Inn bartender over twenty five years ago and working his way up to serve in a corporate role for Holiday Inn Worldwide as an Area Director overseeing a portfolio of 40 hotels. Knowledgeable of brands from Marriott, IHG, Wyndham, Choice and Hilton. Also has extensive experience in restaurant operations having developed and operated numerous restaurant concepts.

Operations Manager

Meghan Kulka


Over 10 years in the hospitality industry with direct assistance in new hotel development of construction, project management, hotel renovations, interior design and banking. Also has a background in day to day management, sales and marketing leadership, and franchise design compliancy.

Human Resources Manager

Maryann Stassen


Experienced with an extensive knowledge in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and a history of working in the hospitality industry. Skilled in statistical analysis, legal compliance, conflict resolution, and development of both people and polices. Focused on attracting service-minded employees with a potential for growth.

Revenue Manager

Mandy Evert


Over 13 years in the hospitality industry with a strong focus on optimizing revenue of all HAMCO operated hotels.  Guides and directs the hotel management and sales teams to achieve established revenue goals and objectives.  Ensures total guest satisfaction through employee training, motivation, and supervision.

Graphics and Media Professional

Ann C. Herrold


An accomplished artist and leader of the creative process for graphics and media promotions, yielding targeted advertising campaigns to measurable results.

Chief Financial & Development Officer

Bruce B. White


A seasoned Hotelier with extensive multi-franchise operating leadership. Specializes in financial management services, new hotel development and asset design and renovations. With thirty-five plus years dedicated to the industry, his experience from operations to construction coordination is unparalleled.

A Penn State Hotel, Restaurant Management graduate with years of specialized experience in luxury guest service and hotel operations. Manages the continuity processes with oversight responsibilities in the financial and legal aspects of the organization.

Digital Marketing Manager

A visionary in the marketing field with years of specific experience in aligning brands with their tailored consumer. Administers marketing efforts and is responsible for attaining sales targets, building up distribution channels, establishing tactical business relations, and ideas for all strategic sales plans.

Financial Manager

Dalton Kephart, CPA

Accountant with years of expertise in public accounting, auditing, and hospitality. Provides leadership for all financial areas including budgeting, return on investment, proforma creation and tax reporting. Develops and maintains standardized practices and procedures for timely and accurate reporting.

An innovator in the field of computer technology combined with an entrepreneurial expertise. Administers franchise systems’ relationships and operational infrastructure. Troubleshoots and manages franchise proprietary property management systems.
